Translator is proud to announce the Islands of Brilliance Benefit Concert on Sunday Nov. 4th from 6pm-9pm (show starts at 7pm) at the Translator space, 415 E. Menomonee St. in the Third Ward. Tickets are $20 and include a performance from Boston’s progressive folk music sensation The Ballroom Thieves, and a variety of Milwaukee Brewing Company products.

Islands of Brilliance is a pilot program developed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Curriculum is individualized to foster each student’s creativity through the use of software & technology. Each student is paired with a design professional, and together they collaborate on a project using the Adobe Creative Suite.

The 4-week pilot program is the most recent initiative from Translator’s Idea Lab, and launched in October 2012 through a partnership with Discovery World. More information on the program can be found at islandsofbrilliance.org, or on the Islands of Brilliance Facebook page. 100% of proceeds from the concert will go to a full-fledged launch of the program in February 2013. For more information, please contact Kirsten Corbell.

This event is made possible with the help of our wonderful sponsors The Yellow Phone Music Conference, Milwaukee Brewing Co., and Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
